The School of Business at UD has a number of semester-long exchange programs with other
universities. A large number of UD students has traveled abroad to study at other
universities in a number of countries. The following describes some of those programs.

The
Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration is the third oldest institute of
higher learning in
Finland
. Their
International Business program in Mikkeli, a mid-sized town located about one hundred forty
miles northeast of
Helsinki
, offers a very innovative business program for
undergraduates and MBA students. Students take
one course each three week session for very intensive study.
All courses are given in English. They
may take any number of three-week modules that they desire.
Students may take the modules consecutively or skip a period for international
travel. The modules are given year-round and are available at all levels of business
background. Students may attend the program
with sophomore to senior standing.

ESPEME
is an undergraduate management program that includes coverage of the humanities, social
sciences, core business areas, and business areas of specialization It is the undergraduate
part of EDHEC, one of the largest institutions for business studies in
France
. The school has
introduced a new program for fall terms in both campuses where students study French, but
the business courses are taught in English. Since
most of the spring courses are taught in French, proficiency in that language is necessary.
A wide variety of business and non-business courses are available at all levels of
business background. One campus of ESPEME is
located in
Lille
, one of the largest student populated cities in
France
, with over 100,000 students.
Lille
is also the economic capital of northern
France
and lies at the crossroads of
Paris
,
London
, and
Brussels
, all within easy reach by high-speed train.
The other campus of ESPEME is located in Nice, on the French Riviera.
Nice is the cultural center of
Southern France
. The mild
weather allows for year-round ports in the mountains and at the sea, but Nice is also an
intellectual town, with thousands of students, cyber and philosophy cafes, and jazz clubs.
Students may attend the program in either campus with sophomore to senior standing.

The school was created in 1909 and has always ranked among the best ten percent
business schools in

International Business Department's "European Affairs Program" is taught entirely
in English and will give participants a broad understanding
of the business environment and practice within the EC.
It is designed for students who have a good basic understanding of the various areas
of business, including accounting, economics, finance, marketing, law, and organization
behavior. Students may attend the program from
second term junior or senior standing.

SPAIN

was founded in 1886 by the Jesuits who wished to have a
university in the Basque Country of Spain. Modem
and attractive,
San Sebastian
is an ocean resort town and a major political, financial,
and service center for the region. The Basque
countryside offers permanent enticement for hikes and short trips, either along the coast
or in the mountains which offer possibilities of skiing in the winter.
Most courses are taught in Spanish, therefore some proficiency in that language is
necessary. However, at the beginning of each
term, the university provides three weeks of intensive Spanish for students with a low or
lower-intermediate level of Spanish. A wide
variety of business and non-business courses are available at all levels of business
background. Students may attend the program
with sophomore to senior standing.
