On September 24th, the Davis Center team participated in the 2005 Walk to Cure Diabetes.
Twenty-five staff members made the trip to Island MetroPark in Dayton, OH to volunteer their time and make
donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The students helped run the event in a variety of
ways—including set-up, balloons, face-painting, working checkpoints, photography, and playing games
with the kids. It was a fun and rewarding day for everyone involved! The Davis Center contributed over $600
to the JDRF and will continue to support this cause in the near future.

the journey to Chicago for a professional business trip. During their stay, the group visited the CBOT, CBOE, CME, Wayne
Hummer Asset Management, and Ernst & Young. The group also met with alumni from Goldman Sachs, Crowe Capital Markets, and

| Finance Club in The Davis Center on August 30th, 2005 |
The Finance Club met for the first time this semester on Tuesday,
August 30. 118 people attended, far exceeding estimates! As the
biggest Finance Club meeting in Davis Center history, it is now
apparent that the University of Dayton has an abundance of bright
students motivated to learn more about finance. Throughout the year,
these students will be involved in many fulfilling projects, including
mock interviews, résumé building, a trip to Chicago, acting as
supporting analysts in a portfolio competition, professional speakers,
software training, and Finance 101 sessions. Through the activities
in Finance Club, these students can develop their skills and interest
in finance.
